The morphology and composition of the anodic film of aluminum, which was sealed in cerium salt solution by pulse power, have been characterized by SEM and XPS. The results showed that after 2 h treatment, the anodic film was completely sealed and consisted of mixture of trivalence and quadrivalence Ce oxide and Ce hydroxide.
