The pretreatment processes for painting aluminum-containing automotive body were introduced,including traditional phosphating with added fluoride,two-step method and chemical conversion coating.The technological requirements and management essentials of degreasing,conditioning,phosphating and other procedures were described.The compatibility between the films obtained by different pretreatments and the subsequent electroohoretic painting was studied.
