对 AB5 型快速凝固贮氢合金与其铸态合金在显微组织、吸氢性能、电化学性能等方面进行了对比研究。发现快速凝固合金有细小的 1~5 μm 胞状、等轴状微晶组织;快速凝固合金的P-C-T 曲线平台比铸态合金平缓,且压力低;快速凝固合金容量及活化性能低于铸态合金,但经退火后可以部分改善;快速凝固合金电极循环寿命明显优于铸态合金,主要是因为合金的晶粒细小可以抑制合金的微粉化和氧化。

The difference on the microstructures,hydrogen absorption and electrochemical properties between the rapidly solidified and the as-cast AB5 type hydrogen storage alloy were investigated. It was found that the grains in rapidly solidified alloy are cellular and exquiaxial shaped with the size of about 1~5 μm. The plateau pressure is lower and the plateau slope is flatter on the P-C-T curve of rapidly solidified alloy than as-cast alloy. The activation and discharge capacity of the rapidly solidified alloy is poor than those of as-cast alloy. Annealing can improve the activation and capacity by removing the distortion of the crystal lattice that induced in the rapidly solidified process. The cycle-life of the rapidly solidified alloy is considerably longer than that of as-cast alloy for the reason that large amounts of grain boundaries can relax the stress which is caused by expansion and the contraction in the charge-discharge cycles.
