Tow nanosize powders of β-Ni (OH)2 and NiO were synthesized by solid state reaction ofNiC2O4 · 2H2O with NaOH and NiCl2 · 6H2O with NaOH respectively and characterized by XRD andSEM. Their electrochemical properties were investigated. The results shown that the composite elec-trode materials composed of the two kinds of nano particles and zinc powder displayed excellent dis-charge property.
