设计制作了一种用聚四氟乙烯毛细管组成的ubbelodhe式粘度计.将该粘度计试用于测量一个部分水解聚丙烯酰胺试样水溶液在较宽浓度区间直至极稀浓度时的粘度.与常规玻璃粘度计相比,新粘度计避免了在普通玻璃粘度计中测量粘度时由于高分子吸附在毛细管管壁表面引起的干扰.实验结果表明,高分子溶液粘度的所谓“聚电解质效应”仅仅是溶质吸附而引起的表观现象.

A modified Ubbelodhe viscometer with polytetrafluoroethylene capillary has beenfabricated. The newly constructed viscometer was tested and compared with conventional glassviscometer by measuring the aqueous solution viscosity of a partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamidesample covering a considerable wide concentration range down to extremely dilute region. Theinterference from polymer adsorption onto the capillary inner wall surface on the viscositymeasurements is completely avoided when the new modified viscosimeter is used instead of commonglass viscometer. The experimental results indicate that the so called “polyelectrolyte effect” ofsolution viscosity is just only an apparent phenomenon due to polymer adsorption.
