检测了失效模具材料的微观组织、冲击韧性和断口形貌。结果表明:因热处理工艺不当和材质缺陷,导致韧性降低,这是模具早期失效的主要原因;电火花加工缺陷也加速了模具的早期失效。制订了提高模具使用寿命的措施。
The toughness, fractograph and microstructure of the failed die specimens have been examined and analysed. It comes to the conclusions that the main cause of the premature failure of the aluminium extrusion dies was the low toughness of the die steel which resulted form the poor quality of the die steel and the improper heat treatment of the dies, and that the defects remaining at the die surface after electric discharge machining increased the tendency to failing. The measure have been accordingly taken to increase the die life.
