通过对也门共和国境内金矿床的成矿地质背景和矿床地质特征的总结,对也门境内可能存在的矿床类型及其成矿潜力进行了初步分析.认为也门境内有成矿潜力的主要金矿床类型应为与韧性剪切带有关的前寒纪绿岩型金矿床、产于沉积岩中的细脉浸染型金矿床、产于火山岩中的热泉型金矿床、与中酸性岩浆侵入体有关的中温中深脉状金矿床以及表生金矿床.地质研究程度和勘探程度较低是目前也门金矿发现较少的主要原因.
