人类活动领域的扩大和科学技术水平的提高,尤其是在高能物理,核物理,地球物理,核医学,工业探测等领域的应用上不断增长的需求,极大推动了新型高密度闪烁晶体与玻璃的研究.闪烁玻璃由于具有成本低廉,加工方便,组成与体积易于调整等优点而引起广大材料及物理研究人员的兴趣和重视.具有高密度,透紫外与可见光,离子性较弱而可望具有很好闪烁性能的重金属氧化物玻璃是人们所看好的高密度闪烁玻璃的发展方向.
