为了阐述应用相图的局限性,评议了MgO-Al2O3-ZrO2系相图和相关文章.在《Phase Equilibria Dia-grams》相平衡图册中有两份内容不同的MgO-Al2O3-ZrO2系相图,分别为Fig.10087(Zr-306)和Fig.10087(Zr-307).前者认为存在一个组成为MgsAlz 4 Zr1.7 O12或Mg4.68 Al2.64 Zr1.68 O12的三元化合物;而后者认为是MgAl2O4-ZrO2分系.但问题是缺欠表征X相的显微结构鉴定.需要指出的是,在应用任一相图时受反应动力学限制,只有局部能达到相图预示的平衡.

Phase diagrams of MgO-Al2O3-ZrO2 system and related papers on this system were reviewed to show the application limitation of the phase diagrams.Two different phase diagrams in the "Phase Equilibria Diagrams" are Fig.10087 (Zr-306) and Fig.10087 (Zr-307).Fig.10087 (Zr-306) shows the presence of a ternary compound in composition of Mg5Al2.4Zr1.7O12 or Mg4.68Al2.64Zr1.68O12,but Fig.10087 (Zr-307) shows a subsystem of MgAl2O4-ZrO2.The problem is the lack of microstructure characterization of X phase.It must be noted that,in the application of any phase diagram,only local equilibrium predicted by the phase diagram is obtained because of kinetic limitation in the reaction.
