本工作对叶蜡石进行了偶联活化改性研究,使得叶蜡石从亲水性粉体转变为憎水性粉体.在本研究中,叶蜡石粉体通过在表面偶联一层N-(正丁基)-3-氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷(BAPTS)偶联剂进行活化处理,研制出活化指数达到100%的改性叶蜡石粉体.通过活化指数、黏度、表面接触角等手段,对叶蜡石表面偶联改性情况进行了表征,并对活化机理进行了分析讨论.研究了活化指数、黏度、表面接触角与偶联性能之间的关系.结果表明:偶联剂的添加量为1.0%(质量分数,下同)时,活化指数达到100%.偶联剂添加量为1.5%时,改性叶蜡石-液体石蜡体系的黏度达到最大值85 78mPa·s.偶联剂的添加量为2.0% 时,对水的表面接触角达到最大值75°.偶联修饰是制备活化叶蜡石粉体的一种有效方法,能够使偶联剂与叶蜡石粉体形成牢固结合.
