Based on excellent performance of carbon fabric and nano-molybdenum disulfide, the friction materi-als with different content of MoS2 were prepared to adapt the unusual operating conditions such as high rotating speed, excessive load and insufficient lubrication and so on.All samples were obtained by dipping impregnation solution with different mass fractions of nano-molybdenum disulfide. The surface morphology and tribology be-havior were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM),confocal optical microscope (C130)and wet friction material test machine.Experimental results showed that adding nano-molybdenum disulfide could im-prove the material density and surface roughness. The dynamic friction coefficient decreased very little only a-bout 2.6% with the MoS2 content no more than 5%,but it decreased 14.2% with 8% MoS2 .With addition of MoS2 ,the fiber pullout or fracture was significantly reduced leading to greatly decrease of the wear rate.
