通过高温分解乙酸镁前驱体,制备了 MgO改性的石棉纤维隔膜.将 NiCl2薄膜正极、载有 LiCl-LiBr-KBr 的石棉隔膜和 LiB 负极组装成单体电池,研究了隔膜中 MgO 和电解质的载量及放电温度对单体电池放电性能的影响,并与传统粉末压片工艺制备的电解质片进行性能比较.实验结果表明,以 MgO 载量5.2 mg/cm2、电解质载量53 mg/cm2为隔膜的单体电池放电性能较好,其单体电池以50,100和200 mA/cm2恒流放电,放电起始电压分别为2.4557,2.4375和2.3285 V,与粉末压片工艺制备的电解质片相比,电化学性能无明显差异.5个单体电池组装的热电池样机在100 mA/cm2恒流放电下,最高电压为12.75 V,对应最高电压80%的激活时间为0.26 s,工作时间为110.0 s,单体电池平均最高电压为2.55 V.

MgO modified asbestos paper was prepared by high temperature decomposition of magnesium acetate precursor and used as separator for thermal battery.A sing cell was fabricated with a NiCl2 film cathode,the modified asbestos paper loaded with an eutectic moten electrolyte LiCl-LiBr-KBr and a LiB anode.The influ-ences of the loadings of MgO and electrolyte in the separator and operating temperature on the discharge per-formances of the single cells were studied.The results indicates that the single cell employing the separator with a MgO loading of 5.2 mg/cm2 and an electrolyte loading of 53 mg/cm2 shows the best discharge performance. And at current densities of 50,100 and 200 mA/cm2 ,the respective cell voltage can reach 2.4557,2.4375 and 2.3285 V.The performance was comparable with that of the cell using the cold pressed electrolyte pellet.A thermal battery prototype with 5 single cells was fabricated and at a discharge current density of 100 mA/cm2 , the obtained voltage rise-time was 0.26 s and working time was 1 10.0 s with a cut-off voltage of its 80% peak voltage.
