通过烧结Y2 O3,Al2 O3和Nd2 O3粉体注浆的陶瓷胚体制备了Nd∶Y3 Al5 O12(Nd∶YAG)透明陶瓷,研究了MgO 和TEOS烧结助剂对陶瓷微观结构的影响和助烧结机理,分析了微观结构对陶瓷激光性能的影响.研究结果表明不加入烧结助剂,烧结后的样品晶界处存在大量的气孔,加入0.1%的Mg O 后,气孔数量减少,晶粒粒径变小,能够抑制晶界出现杂相,TEOS在陶瓷烧结过程形成的液相有助于气孔的排除.通过调节烧结助剂和烧结时间,制备出透光性达到83.1%的Nd∶YAG透明陶瓷,实现了1.4 W的激光输出.

Nd∶YAG ceramics were prepared by sintered the green body contained Y2 O3 ,Al2 O3 and Nd2 O3 powders.The effect of sintering aid of MgO and TEOS on the microstructure and laser output were studied. The results show that much pores were observed on the grain boundary of sintered ceramics without sintering aids.Obviously,the addition of 0.1% MgO as sintering aid to Nd∶YAG inhibits the grain growth during sinte-ring and allows the sintering process to proceed to theoretical density.MgO is segregated as solute at the grain boundaries where it then exerts a drag on grain-boundary motion.The TEOS addition plays a benefic role in the grain growth.The Nd∶YAG ceramics with 83.1% transparence and 1.4 W laser output was prepared by con-trolled the sintering aid and hold time.
