以MgO为原料,电解质为RECl3-KCl-MgCl2,熔盐电解法制取Al-Mg-RE三元合金.通过实验证明,稀土可以由铝的直接还原得到,而镁是由电解还原得到.可制得RE含量为0.8%~1.2%,Mg含量为1%~4%的三元合金,电流效率最高可达到81.3%.电解过程基本上不产生Cl2.
