采用丙烯腈(AN)与衣糠酸(IA)自由基溶液共聚合,以偶氮二异丁腈(AIBN)为引发剂,在二甲基亚砜(DMSO)中合成了聚丙烯腈纺丝溶液,经湿法纺丝制得聚丙烯腈(PAN)原丝.在原丝牵伸的最后一段用CoSO4水溶液浸渍改性.利用SE M、TEM和热稳定化过程研究等方法进行对比研究改性前后纤维的结构与性能.结果表明:Co SO4能催化PAN原丝的热稳定化、环化反应,缩短预氧化时间,并能提高最终炭纤维的机械性能.

Free-radical solution copolymerization of itacon ic acid and acrylonitrile was carried out in DMSO using azodiisobutyronitrile as initiator with changing the feed rate of itaconic acid. The resulting polymeriz ation solution was spun to form PAN precursors of carbon fibers. The precursors were treated with CoSO4 aqueous solution on the line. The structure and proper ties of untreated and treated PAN precursors and resultant carbon fibers were ch aracterized by SEM and TEM, stabilization process and so on. It was suggested th at CoSO4 acted as a catalyst in the formation of ladder structure and reduces the temperature of cyclization. The carbon fibers developed from treated PAN fib ers showed an improvement in tensile strength and Young's modulus.
