由于青海某硫化铜镍矿滑石化强蚀变现象较多,脉石矿物以辉石、橄榄石、滑石等钙镁硅酸盐矿物为主,造成了浮选过程存在混合精矿镍、铜品位较低,氧化镁含量偏高.针对这一问题,试验研究采用羧甲基纤维素(CMC)为抑制剂使镁硅酸盐矿物得到了很好的抑制,确定精选添加CMC用量为300 g/t,闭路试验获得了精矿镍、铜品位分别为5.94%、1.18%,回收率分别为82.23%、79.93%的选别指标,氧化镁含量从优化前的15.05%降至2.93%.
