用光电子能谱(XPS)、红外光谱(FTIR)和扫描电镜(SE M)研究有和无有机硅涂层的聚酰亚胺(Kapton)在模拟原子氧(AO)环境中表面所发生的侵蚀 作用.结果表明,AO对Kapton有较严重的侵蚀,原来平整的表面形貌变为毛毯状;而所 施用的有机硅涂层的表面形貌则变化甚少,表明该涂层具有较明显的防护效果.这种防护作 用在于,有机硅涂层表面经AO辐照后生成了致密的氧化硅膜层,对抑制AO的进一步侵蚀起到 了关键作用.

Surface properties of Kapton without and with ograno siloxane coating were analyzed after exposure to ground state fast atomic oxygen (AO) radiation in a ground simulated atomic oxygen beam facility.X-ray photoele c tron spectroscopy,I.R.spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy were used to characterize the chemical and physical changes of the surface of materials test ed.The test results indicated that the change in the surface chemistry of Kapton induced by AO were oxidation degradation of polymer and substantial chan ge in structure of supermoleculars and morphology of the surface layer.It is fur ther found in the experiment that siloxane film provides excellent protection fr om AO irradiation.The irradiation results in formation of SiO2 left on th e surface of the coating,thus,providing protection from further attack by the en ergetic oxygen atoms.
