采用沉淀法制备了表面包裹Yb_2O_3的ZrB_2-SiC-Yb_2O_3复合粉体(不同含量的Yb_2O_3作为烧结助剂),并在1900℃无压烧结制备了ZrB_2-SiC-Yb_2O_3复合材料.研究Yb_2O_3添加量对复合材料致密化和性能的影响.结果表明,Yb_2O_3的添加在促进ZrB_2-SiC烧结致密的同时,也提高了ZrB2-SiC复合材料的力学性能.添加10% Yb_2O_3(质量分数, 下同)的ZrB_2-SiC复合材料的相对密度为89%,抗弯曲强度为158 MPa,断裂韧性为2.95 MPa·m~(1/2).

Different contents of ytterbia were used as sintering additive, and ytterbia-coated ZrB_2-SiC powder was produced by heterogeneous nucleation method. At 1900 ℃, ZrB_2-SiC-Yb_2O_3 ceramics composites were prepared by pressureless sintering. The results show that, ZrB_2-SiC has higher relative density and better mechanical properties with the additive of ytterbia. ZrB_2-SiC with 10 wt% Yb_2O_3 has the relative density of 89%. Flexural strength and fracture toughness are 158 MPa and 2.95 MPa·m~(1/2), respectively.
