对工业纯金属钆进行了固态电迁移法(SSE)提纯研究,在电流密度为450 A·cm-2,真空度为10-7 Pa条件下,分别处理了20,60和100 h,考察了金属钆料棒不同部位主要杂质的变化.实验结果表明:SSE法处理后,对气体杂质而言,氧的辽移非常明显,处理100 h后,阴极端氧含量由1651 μg·g-1降低到25 μg·g-1,去除率达到98.5%;氮和碳的迁移规律不明显;对Cu,Mn,Pb和Ni等部分金属杂质而言,迁移规律明显,而对其他金属杂质有一定的迁移.对发生有效迁移的杂质元素,SSE法处理时间越长,阴极端的杂质提纯效果越明显.用SSE法处理100 h后,分析了其中38种主要杂质元素,所用钆料棒阴极端纯度由99.74%提高到99.91%(质量分数).
