从工业生态学研究的一般性问题出发,阐述了钢铁工业生态化的内涵、目标以及相关的生态技术,分析了钢铁工业生态化前景.指出面对市场竞争力和可持续发展这一时代命题,钢铁工业要在以生态工业和循环经济为主要特征的未来社会中扮演重要角色,以解决钢铁工业发展与环境承载能力之间的矛盾.钢铁工业生态化发展模式的建立将是最有效的策略和手段.中国钢铁工业正开始提倡实施清洁生产和采用绿色化技术,进而向生态工业和循环经济的方向努力.
