超导现象发现100年以来,各类新型超导体层出不穷,然而由于本征特性、低温条件、合成技术及环境因素等限制使许多超导材料失去了实用性.首先简要概述了超导材料的应用,特别是在先进电网中的应用需求和前景,分析了国内外几种典型的实用超导材料的发展趋势和市场需求情况.给出了主要发达国家及我国的超导发展计划,指出了当前发展新型电力传输材料-第二代高温超导带材的必要性,并以上海市为例粗略展望了第二代高温超导带材及其强电应用技术包括城市电缆、超导限流器、超导变压器、超导电机等发展对社会生活和传统产业的重要影响和贡献.
