传统聚合物共混过程由于强剪切作用而存在聚合物易降解和耗能高的缺点。采用混沌混合制备聚合物共混物,具有可调控相形态和混合效率高的优点。文中阐述了混沌混合的几何模型,介绍了现有混沌混合设备及其混合机理。混沌混合制备聚合物共混物过程中相态经历了从层状到纤维,最终到液滴状的逐步转变过程,因此可通过相形态的控制来高效制备增韧、多层抗渗透、纤维及导电等聚合物基复合材料。

The traditional polymer blend process has disadvantages of degradation and high energy consumption due to intense shear. Chaotic mixing can be used to produce polymer blends with the advantages of controllable morphology and high efficiency. The geometric model of chaotic mixing was illustrated along with corresponding equipments and mixing mechanisms, the morphology of polymer blends developed through a widely accepted route involving step by step transitions from lamellas to fibrils and to droplets. Therefore the chaotic mixing can be used to produce toughness enhanced, multilayer anti-infiltration, the fiber and conductive polymer-based composites by controlling the morphology of polymer blends.
