    Flow-AcceleratedCorrosion (FAC) is a phenomenon which results in weight loss as well as local thinning of piping,vessels,and equipment made of carbon steels.FAC occurs under certain conditions of flow,chemistry,geometry and material.Those conditions are common for the highenergy piping in nuclear and fossilfueled power plants.This paper reviews several FAC models and numerical simulation methods.Meanwhile,the prospective points in further studies on the modeling and numerical simulations of FAC are also brought forward.
