In the traditional gas bulging process, excessive thinning often happens. To improve the thickness u- niformity of Ti-alloy cup-shaped parts is researched. The reason for excessive formed by gas bulging, a process combined with drawing and gas bulging thinning in gas bulging process is analyzed by numerical simulation, and the effects of loading paths on thinning ratio of TA15 cup-shaped part formed in the process are studied by ex- periments. The results show that the loading speed of gas pressure influences the thinning ratio. The maximum thinning ratios of the parts formed by slow gas bulging and fast gas bulging are 63.2% and 54.2%. The re- quirement of thickness uniformity cannot be satisfied by increasing loading speed alone. However, the maximum thinning ratio of the part formed by drawing and gas bulging can be reduced to 36.7%. It is illustrated that the thickness uniformity can be improved effectively by the hot deep drawing-gas bulging process.
