An electrochemical sensor including detecting part and elastic fixing part was designed for directly detecting corrosion of metal samples tested in seawater corrosion experimental stations.An experimental verification of the designed sensor for steel samples was carried out in 3.5%NaCl solution.The results showed that the sensor can reveal the real situation of corrosion of the samples factually. Key words: corrosion monitoring and detecting；electrochemical sensor; matal mateirals;seawater
