应用基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理方法,研究了不同厚度的镁及镁钯合金自由薄膜的表面性能如表面能、态密度等随薄膜厚度变化而产生的变化.结果表明这种变化表现出量子尺寸效应的调制作用.进一步计算了不同厚度的镁及镁钯合金薄膜表面在单个氢原子吸附状态下的吸附能随薄膜厚度变化而变化的趋势.研究表明吸附能的变化行为与自由表面的表面能、态密度的变化行为一致,也呈现出调制作用.对氢原子的吸附高度和平均键长的进一步计算表明研究结果是可靠的.
