在对现有的有关贫铀材料和贫铀武器的大量调研的基础上,介绍了贫铀的基本概念,贫铀的制备,贫铀材料的基本性质和应用领域;详细阐述了贫铀穿甲弹的结构,特点及其对人类生存环境和身体健康的影响;总结了海湾战争中贫铀武器的污染状况及处理方法;并且概述了国际上对贫铀武器生产及使用的不同看法.最后,对贫铀武器的现存问题及发展趋势进行的分析.
