EFFECT OF Cr ADDITION ON MICROSTRVCTURES AND MECHANICAL PROPERLIES OF β-NiAl ALLOYS

The effect of Cr addition on the microstructures and mechanical properties of NiAl inermetallic alloys containing 4 to 8 mol% Cr has been characterized. It is shown that Cr is not only an efficient soild solution strengthener in NiAl, it is also an efficient precipitation Strengthener by fine dispersion of α-Cr particles. Transmission electron microscope observations have revealed that fine spherical particles of α-Cr appeared homogeneously in the NiAl matrix by aging at temperatures around 1073K after solution annealing at 1563K. The aging behavior was investigated by microhardness measurements and the temperature dependence of the yield stress of NiAl containing α-Cr particles was investigated by compression tests over the tempemture range from 298 to 1173K. NiAl alloys happened appreciably by the precipitation of α-Cr particles.Dislocations bypass the particles during deformation and typical Orowan loops were observed surrounding the α-Cr particles after deformation. Although the dispersion Of α-Cr particles increases the yield strength of NiAl at intermediate temperutre, the strength decreases appreciably at higher temperatures.

The effects of stress components on nucleation sites and propagation directions of stress cor- rosion cracks in brass were investigated with specimens under mode Ⅱ and mode Ⅲ loadings. The results indicated that under mode Ⅱ loading,stress corrosion cracks nucleated on the site with maximum normal stress component and propagated along the plane perpendieular to the maximum normal stress,under mode Ⅲ loading,the stress corrosion crack was not evident on the 45°plane due to the general corrosion in aqueous solution with high NH_4OH concentra- tion,while stress corroded in aqueous solution with low NH_4OH concentration, numerous cracks with spacings of 10—150μm were found on the 45°plane with maximum normal stress and no stress corrosion cracks was observed on the plane with maximum shear stress.

The present paper summarizes the current status of high resolution elect;on microscopy ( HREM) and the applications of HREM to materials science and condensed matter physics. This review recounts the latest development of high resolution electron microscope, progress of HREM and the applications of HREM, including the crystal structure determination of microcrystalline materials and characterization of the local structure of the defects and nanostructured materials as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis of the grain boundaries, interfaces and interfacial reactions in the advanced materials by means of HREM in combination with electron diffraction, subnanometer level analysis, image simulation and image processing.

建立了畜禽产品中维吉尼亚霉素M1S1药物残留检测的液相色谱-串联质谱分析方法.样品以甲醇-乙腈溶液(1:1,V/v)提取,上清液经0.01 mol/L磷酸二氢铵溶液稀释后,Oasis HLB固相萃取小柱净化,Luna C18色谱柱分离,以乙腈和含0.1%(体积分数)甲酸的5 mmol/L乙酸铵水溶液作为流动相进行梯度洗脱,电喷雾正离子模式电离(ESI+).多反应监测(MRM)模式检测,外标法定量.该方法对两物质线性范围均为0.15~10.O μg/L,相关系数r2均大于0.999;定量下限均为0.25 μg/kg.在不同基质中,0.25、0.50、2.5 μg/kg 3个添加水平的平均回收率范围为71.2%~98.4%,精密度范围为3.6%~15.4%.该方法具有快速简便、灵敏度高、准确性强等特点,适用于畜禽产品中维吉尼亚霉素的检测.

On the basis of statistical data of MnS in the conventional 3% Si steel sheeets after various annealing processes,the critical inclusion factor has been evaluated to be 20 mm~(-1).The inhi- bition of MnS to grain growth has been exactly described.

Ni64Al21V15沉淀过程DO22向L10(M=1)结构转变的微观相场模拟

基于微观相场模型,研究了Ni64Al21V15合金在1150 K时效过程中相结构演化.结合微观组织演化图像和各个格点上原子占位几率的演化,分析了DO22结构向L10 (M=1)结构转变机制.合金沉淀中期,在相界处析出L10(M=1)结构.研究发现,L10 (M=1)结构形成可分为3类:在DO22与L12相界处形核,沿[001]方向排列,向DO22相扩张;在DO22结构90°有序畴界处形核,沿[001]方向排列,向DO22扩张;在2个[100]向排列的DO22结构交界处形核,沿[100]方向排列,向DO22结构扩张.DO22相中,V主要占据β位,Ni主要占据α2和α3位,Al主要占据α1位;随后,V向α2位跃迁,在(002)面富聚且发生有序化,逐渐占据β和α2位,Ni原子发生面间跃迁,由α2位跃迁至α1位,逐渐占据α1和α3位,Al原子向相外扩散.DO22结构最终转变为高度有序的L10(M=1)结构.

Dependence of strength, elongation, and toughness on grain size in metallic structural materials

The dependence of yield strength, uniform elongation, and toughness on grain size in metallic structural materials was discussed. The toughness is defined as the product of yield strength and uniform elongation. The yield strength versus grain size can be well described by the Hall-Petch relation; however, the uniform elongation versus grain size is not well understood yet. A simple model involving the densities of geometrically necessary dislocations and statistically stored dislocations was proposed to estimate the uniform elongation versus grain size. Existing data for low carbon steels and aluminum indicate that, in the grain size less than 1 mu m, the materials usually exhibit high strength and low uniform elongation and, in the grain size greater than 10 mu m, the materials usually exhibit low strength and high elongation; in either case the toughness is low. However, in the grain size of several micrometers, the toughness is the highest. It is suggested that we should pay more attention to develop the metallic materials with grain size of several micrometers for structural applications. (c) 2007 American Institute of Physics.
