HIRFL-CSR实验环电子冷却装置调试

HIRFL-CSR实验环电子冷却装置采用了能够产生空心电子束的电子枪, 弯曲螺线管内采用了静电偏转电极, 冷却段采用了独立的高精度螺线管串联产生纵向磁场的设计. 测量了沿离子束运动方向冷却段磁场分布及磁场平行度、电子枪和收集器性能、 300 kV高压电源相关参数. 结果表明, 此装置达到了预期的设计目标.

MATERIALS FOR RETENTION OF LIQUID CRYOGENS CONTAINED IN SPACE QUALIFIED COOLER

A new kind of material used in liquid cryogen cooler has been found and investigated in our group It is anticipated that the materials can be applied in the conditions of launching, rotation in any orientation and weightlessness. The mechanism on which the material relies is similar to "sponge" trapping the liquid cryogens within its micro-pores with surface tension. Preliminary tests have been performed on wicking. Also,we apply the materials to the cryogenic optical cooler whjch needs to be maintained within the temperuture range of 80-100 K. The results are satisfactory.

Failure analysis of the brass tubes in a lubricating oil cooler

Engineering Failure Analysis

Failure analysis was carried out on leaked brass tubes of a lubricating oil cooler. Direct evidences of dezincification and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopic (EDS) analysis. It is found that there are many small pits distributed on the fracture surface and EDS analysis revealed the occurrence of dezincification in the small pits. SCC was observed on the cross-sectional plane of the fracture by SEM. Ammonia test has proved the existence of residual stress in the as-received tubes. It is determined that the brass tubes have been suffered from the coaction between dezincification and SCC. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Density matrix renormalization group studies on the stability of quasi-1-D undoped and doped polymer ferromagnets

We study the ferromagnetic ground state of the theoretical model proposed for quasi-one-dimensional organic polymer ferromagnets by using the density matrix renormalization group method. We find that the chain-radical interaction, the on-site electron-electron repulsion, and the electron-phonon coupling play important roles in the stability of the ferromagnetic state, whether in doped systems or not. We are convinced that when the system is doped by one electron, a polaron appears, diminishing the stability of the high-spin state.

RENORMALIZATION-GROUP OF GENERALIZED FIBONACCI LATTICES

We investigate the renormalization group of the generalized Fibonacci lattices associated with the aperiodic sequences as constructed by the inflation rule: {A,B} --> {A(n)B(m),A}, in which m and n are positive integers. The derived renormalization group consists of 2n(n+m-1)+1 basic renormalization-group transformations. By suitable combinations of these basic transformations, local Green's function and local density of states at any sites can be calculated for electrons on the generalized Fibonacci lattices. The off-diagonal model is employed, and the local electronic densities of states at several sites are numerically calculated for some generalized Fibonacci lattices.

Renormalisation Group of Two-dimensional Decagonal Tilings

We present a new series of two-dimensional decagonal tilings which are connected with each in five transformation rules. In this case, a real-space renormalization group scheme is developed to study physical properties of the decagonal systems in terms of Green's function theory.

The spin correlation (SC) function on the main chain of a theoretical model for organic ferromagnets is studied by using a density matrix renormalization group method with both periodic boundary conditions and open boundary conditions (OBCs). It is found that the chain-radical interaction, the on-site electronelectron repulsion, and the electron-phonon coupling affect the SC greatly and play important roles in the stability of the ferromagnetic state. There exist some types of 'weak' OBC, diminishing the alternation of the SC.
