Bi(Pb)-Sr-Ca-Cu-O超导单晶晶须的生长

用熔体淬火非平衡凝固方法制备非晶态Bi(Pb)-Sr-Ca-Cu-O(1112),(2212)基材,在流通O_2气氛中经840—860℃长时间保温,生长出柔性(2212)超导单晶晶须,仔细研究了晶须生长及形貌特性。

SiC晶须显微结构的研究

用透射电子显微术、表面化学分析等技术对两种SiC晶须的形态、内部缺陷、表面化学成分及其与晶须生长机制之间的联系进行了研究。在此基础上,提出了单晶百分比;直径与长度;内部与表面成分;缺陷类型及分布;生长结晶学特征等五个方面作为表征晶须显微结构的判据。

SiC晶须-Al_2O_3复合陶瓷显微结构的电镜研究

本文采用X 射线衍射、扫描电镜、分析电子显微镜和高分辩电镜,研究了热压复合SiC-A1_2O_3陶瓷的相组成、晶须、晶须-基体界面间的显微结构。结果表明,复合陶瓷中的晶须为15R 型SiC,基体为三方晶型的α-Al_2O_3。晶须内有大量的层错和孪晶;晶须-基体界面间存在一个过渡层,并有一定的取向关系。扫描电镜对样品断口的研究表明,存在晶须拔出和裂纹偏转两种增韧机制。

TRANSMISSION ELECTRON-MICROSCOPY STUDIES OF THE INTERFACE MICROSTRUCTURES IN AN AL18B4O33W/6061AL COMPOSITE

The microstructure of interfaces in a 6061 aluminium composite reinforced with aluminium borate whiskers has been investigated by means of transmission electron microscopy (TEM), mostly by high-resolution TEM (HRTEM). It was found that the magnesium atoms segregate at the whisker/aluminium interfaces and the interfacial reactions mostly occurred on the (100) side surfaces of the Al18B4O33 whisker prisms during the squeeze casting of the composite. The interfacial reaction products at the whisker/aluminium interfaces were determined to be the Al2MgO4 phase, which generally showed specific orientation relationship with the whiskers. The possible interfacial reactions giving the observed microstructure are discussed.

The stability of the phases in equilibrium is calculated and discussed in order to analyse and predict the reactions in SiC and Si_3N_4 whisker formation.Equilibria among SiC,Si_3N_4,Si_2N_2O,SiO_2 and the gas phase are evaluated at different C activity,N_2 pressure,and temperature.According to the phase stability diagrams,Si_3N_4 whisker was formed with the increase of N_2 pressure and decrease of C activity;SiC whisker was stable with the increase of C activity and decrease of N_2 pressure.In order to control the impure phases during the whisker formation,O_2 partial pressure is the most important factor.

The morphology,crystal defects and chemical compositions of surfaces in two kinds of SiC whiskers related to their growth mechanism have been studied by means of electron microscopy and surface chemical analyses.Based upon the experimental results,five criteria for evaluating the whisker microstructure were suggested as:proportion of the perfect single crystals,morphology and dimensions,defects and their distribution,the bulk and surface chemistries,and crystallographic characteristics.

Growth of Superconducting Whiskers

The(1112)and(2212)amorphous strips of Bi(Pb)-Sr-Ca-Cu oxide were prepared by non-equilibrium solidification of melt-quenching method.A lot of superconducting whiskers have been grown up on the strip at 840-860°C in a stream of oxygen for 50-150 h,which are usually several to 10 odd mm in length,several μm in thick- ness and more than 10μm in width.These whiskers have very excellent flexibility.

Amorphous Bi(Pb)-Sr-Ca-Cu-O strips of types(1112)and(2212)were made by means of non-equilibrium solidification of melt-quenching method,On the surface of glassy strip,the flexible(2212)superconducting whiskers have been obtained.The growth and feature of superconducting whiskers were studied in detail.
